Join the Brisbane Hot Topics Local Peer Support Group hosted by the Queenslanders with Disability Network (QDN), the executive peak body for people with an intellectual disability in Brisbane, particularly in the Brisbane region and has been running for over 20 years. The group offers a unique space for mutual support, empowerment, and advocacy.

Group Convenor Donna Best hosts monthly meetings at the QDN office, providing a welcoming environment where members with an intellectual disability can connect, share experiences, and discuss matters impacting their lives.

The group also meets with a similar self-advocate group in Canada online.

Meeting Details:

  • Date: Last Friday of each Month
  • Time: 9:00am - 10:00am (Online meeting with New Visions Advocates from Canada)
  • Time: 10:am - 12:00pm ( In person meeting gathering)
  • Location: QDN Office and via Zoom

Note: For those attending the in-person meeting, some light snacks and beverages will be provided.
