Caboolture Peer Support Group focuses on the NDIS

The Caboolture Peer Support Group have had a focus on the National Disability Insurance Scheme and disability services in the Caboolture community.  Matt McCracken, Group Convenor has been facilitating these important conversations and has invited Max Wise, Assistant Director-General, Disability and Seniors Connect, from Department of Seniors, Disability Services and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships to their September meeting to talk about state disability activities and to hear from members about their experiences in the community.

To build on this important topic the Caboolture Peer Support Group welcomed speakers Jocelyn Wills - General Manager and Lee-Anne Simpson – Regional Manager Northern Region, from Carers Queensland LAC,  and Mark Edmonds - Assistant Director - Operations East Community Engagement and Communications NDIA Community Engagement, who shared information about LAC/NDIA activities in the Caboolture community and to hear directly from people with disability in the community about their experiences.
