CALL for EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST (EOI) from QDN Members wishing to nominate for election to the QDN Board of Directors

Expression of Interest Commitment Form

The 2018 Annual General Meeting will include the election of Directors to the QDN Board.  We anticipate a number of vacancies, and would like to invite Expressions of Interest from Members like you, who are keen to advance their leadership skills for the benefit of Queenslanders with disability.

We value a diversified and representative board, and invite members residing in regional, rural and/or remote Queensland, as well as the southeastern corridor.  We wish to have a board with a balanced representation of men and women with knowledge and lived experience of physical, cognitive, sensory and/or social/emotional disability.  We particularly invite our younger members to put themselves forward, and encourage people who identify as LGBTIQ, or who bring a differing cultural and/or socio-economic perspective. 

In terms of professional skills and experience, we would welcome:

• Strategic thinking and ability to shape policy from collective experience and evidence
• Information and Communications Technology and ICT systems management
• Expertise in performance, governance and compliance matters
• Experience in risk management, audit, accounting and financial management
• Knowledge and experience of marketing and advertising, grant writing management and fundraising

HOW TO APPLY   

You will need to prepare a statement of no more than a page to introduce yourself to the members, and to tell them what you believe you can bring to the Board if elected, and how you hope to contribute through your skills, attributes and experience.

You will also need to complete the Commitment Form indicating you understand and agree with the statements in it.  This is an EXPRESSION OF INTEREST TO NOMINATE FOR ELECTED DIRECTOR.  It is not a self-nomination form’.   Click here to access the EOI Commitment Form to nominate for Elected Director of the QDN Board.
