    Caboolture Peer Support Group

    Join the Caboolture Local Peer Support Group hosted by the Queenslanders with Disability Network (QDN), the executive peak body for people with disabilities living in the Caboolture region. The group offers a unique space for mutual support, empowerment, and advocacy.

    Group Convenors Alison Barber, and Wendy McCracken host monthly meetings in Caboolture, providing a welcoming environment where members can connect, share experiences, and discuss matters impacting their lives.
    The group also have regular speakers such as local council representatives that will talk about important topic for people with disability.

     

    Meeting Details:

    • Date: Last Saturday of each Month
    • Time: 11:00am - 1:00pm
    • Location: Sports Central Caboolture - Corner of Hasking St and Beerburrum Rd, Caboolture.

    Note: For those attending the in-person meeting, some light snacks and beverages will be provided.

    Peer support is talking to people who are on the same level. By having conversations within the peer support group network it alleviates stress and trauma, to have peers with lived experiences that can inform others as well as having guests that come to meetings with knowledge and experience of relevant information that can be passed on to other peers and peer networks.”
