QDN’s activities, programs, and projects bring together Queenslanders with disability to forge relationships, build knowledge, lead change, and influence policy to build a more inclusive Queensland. We work with different parts of the community to achieve our goals.
Systemic advocacy is at the heart of our work. We focus on the issues that are important to people with disability and work together to drive policy and systems change.
We lead work and collaborate with organisations and universities on projects that are important to our members and connect to our vision and mission.
We connect people with disability through state-wide Peer Support Groups. This is where we talk about things that matter to us and help each other navigate complicated policies and systems like NDIS, housing and health.
Our link to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Disability Network of Queensland (ATSIDNQ) helps connect First Nations Peoples who live with disability to ensure their voices are heard.
Through QDeNgage, we are working to make businesses more accessible and inclusive by providing expert advice on accessibility and inclusion.
We are building the capacity of people with disability to speak up, learn new skills and grow their leadership through our Emerging Leaders Program.
