Inquiry into Independent Assessments – Final Report Tabled

On 19 October 2021, the Joint Standing Committee on the NDIS tabled its final report on Independent Assessments.

There are six recommendations made by the Committee which include a specific commitment to and definition of co-design and all assessment tools that NDIA proposed for the purposes of funded assessments should be subject to rigorous consultation with people with disability and a range of other key stakeholders. QDN thanks members for their engagement in this important issue and our work together with allies around the NDIS Pause, Reset Co-design forum in May this year. QDN looks forward to continuing to work with members, supporters and allies around ensuring reforms and changes are co-designed.
