QDN Sunshine Coast Peer Support Group meeting

The Sunshine Coast Peer Support Group hosted another great meeting at the Millwell Road Community Centre.  These meetings are a led by people with disability and are an inclusive place for people with disability to get together.

Recently, members welcomed guest speakers from Mable, Aged and Disability Advocacy Australia, and the Local Area Coordinator, Carers Queensland.  The group talked about decision making, choice and control and how these organisations support people with disability to access and use the National Disability Insurance Scheme.

One member from the group said “We got really great information at the meeting and a lot of our questions answered.  Thank you to the speakers for coming along’.
