COVID-19 restriction update – 2 July 2021
The current lockdown restrictions have been extended for a further 24 hours in the City of Brisbane and Moreton Bay Region local government areas – at the moment restrictions are planned to end at 6pm Saturday 3 July 2021, however keep an eye on updates from the Premier and Chief Health Officer.
During lockdown restrictions you can only leave home for essential purposes – you can read the full list here – and wear a mask if you do go out (with exceptions if you are unable to wear one).
You can find full information here and contact tracing information on Queensland locations here
Face mask wearing and gathering restrictions will continue to apply in the areas where lockdown is finishing at 6pm tonight, which are:
- Gold Coast
- Ipswich
- Lockyer Valley
- Logan City
- Noosa Shire
- Redland City
- Scenic Rim
- Somerset
- Sunshine Coast
- Townsville
- Palm Island
In the meantime, continue to practice good hand hygiene, keep physical distance if you do go out (two big steps at least), get a test if you think you have any COVID symptoms, and check in to places you attend (ask for a manual paper check in if you don’t use a Smartphone).
For people residing in residential disability accommodation, workers are currently required to wear face masks continuously as this lockdown period is considered to have a moderate risk of community transmission. People with disability can ask support workers coming into their homes to wear masks also, in addition to following the standard hygiene measures including physical distancing wherever possible.
NDIS COVID-19 measures
