    Our advocacy

    QDN is a strong network of people with disability who work to make sure there is nothing about us without us.

    As a Systemic Advocacy organisation QDN undertakes a range of strategic activities to influence and bring about change on key issues that are important to people with disability.

    QDN engages with members and allies to inform our positions across the key areas that are important to people with disability. QDN also provides submissions, representation and feedback to a range of Local, State and Commonwealth Government policy initiatives through active engagement with members.

    Brisbane 2032 Games

    QDN is working with major stakeholders and others in the community to shape and influence the Brisbane 2032 Games to be a world-leading example of accessibility and inclusion.

    Campaigns

    We work together to make sure that the community and decision makers know about what is important to people with disability.

    Disaster and emergency planning

    We believe that it is important that people with disability need to be included from the beginning in the planning, design, delivery and evaluation of emergency planning and response.

    E-Scooter and E-Bike Safety

    Employment

    We want to make sure that people with disability have options and choice in their employment, the right support to find and keep a job and equal pay.

    Health

    We want accessible, affordable, integrated and quality health services and health care. It is important that the health system and health professionals deliver quality care for people with disability.

    We believe that there is nothing more fundamental than having somewhere affordable, accessible, secure, and safe to live.

    NDIS

    Queenslanders with disability, their families and supporters have worked together for over a decade to ensure that they can access the supports they need to live their day to day life.

    We believe older persons with disability have the right to participate in society, socially and economically.

    We believe advocacy plays a key role in ensuring the voices of people with disability are heard and our rights are upheld.

    Transport

    We want accessible, affordable, and reliable transport. This is important to make sure we can access our communities, whether it’s going to the doctors, buying groceries, visiting friends or being able to get to work.
