Ready To Go
Ready to go project delivered information and learning opportunities to over 7000 Queenslanders with intellectual or learning disability to support them to get ready for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). QDN was funded as one of 11 organisations as part of the Participant Readiness Initiative (PRI) funded by the Department of Communities, Disability Services and Seniors from 1 July 2014 to 30 June 2018.
QDN developed a number of tools and resource as part of this project which included the My Learning Passport, a resource giving participants an opportunity to learn in an interactive and fun way at their own pace and in their own environment.
My Learning Passport
This is a free online resource for people with an intellectual or learning disability, to start their journey towards the NDIS.
My Learning Passport gives participants:
- an opportunity to learn in an interactive and fun way
- access to videos delivered by QDN’s peer facilitators delivering information covered in workshops
- a way of learning and getting information at their own pace and in their own environment
Supporting organisations to get ready for the NDIS
We also offer staff training and development workshops with a focus on learning about the Ready to go tools and how to support a participant in their pre-planning and planning activities.
