Seeing Safety Clearly: QDeNgage investigates colour contrast in transit design

QDeNgage consultants recently participated in a study examining how different colour contrasts impact the visibility of safety features in public transportation environments. The study aimed to assess how quickly and accurately these features can be identified from a range of viewing distances.

This study is part of the TMR Transport Academic Partnership (TAP) Project in collaboration with the University of Queensland.

QDeNgage is proud of its longstanding partnership with TMR, a recognised leader in co-design and accessible transport. Since 2021, TMR’s Disability Engagement Panel, comprising people with lived experience of disability, has supported more than 70 projects, helping ensure inclusive and user-informed design outcomes.
