We are now inviting Expressions of Interest from QDN Members who wish to nominate for election to the QDN Board of Directors.

Process for applications:
The 2024 Annual General Meeting will include the election of Directors to the QDN Board. We anticipate several vacancies and invite Expressions of Interest from members who are eager to enhance their leadership skills for the benefit of Queenslanders with disabilities.
We value a diverse and representative board, and encourage members from regional, rural, and remote Queensland, as well as the southeastern corridor, to apply. We aim for balanced representation of men and women with lived experience of physical, cognitive, sensory, and/or social/emotional disabilities. We particularly encourage younger members, those identifying as LGBTQIA+, and individuals from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds to step forward.
Desired Professional Skills and Experience:
- Strategic thinking and policy shaping based on collective experience and evidence
- Information and Communications Technology (ICT) systems management
- Expertise in governance, performance, and compliance
- Experience in risk management, auditing, accounting, and financial management
- Marketing, advertising, grant writing, and fundraising experience
How to Apply:
Please submit your current CV or resume on no more than 2 pages.
You will need to prepare a short statement introducing yourself to the members, detailing what you can bring to the Board if elected, and how you intend to contribute your skills, attributes, and experience.
Complete the Application Form, indicating your understanding and agreement with its statements. Note that this is an Expression of Interest to nominate for Elected Director, not a self-nomination form.
