Identifying an Internship Position
Points to consider when creating an All Abilities JobMatch internship position:
- Where is the organisation best placed to host an intern? Consider both business needs—specifically where an extra employee can be utilised—but ensure that the area has the capacity to support an intern effectively.
- What skills and experiences can your organisation offer to increase the intern’s employability.
- What specific areas do you want the intern to gain experience in? Are you able to provide some flexibility, allowing the intern to have a range of experiences across different parts of the organisation?
- Does the position require formal qualifications, such as a university degree? If so, consider creating a graduate internship position.
