COVID-19 Update - November

With Queensland due to open borders on December 18, it is more important than ever to make sure you are vaccinated – there is no doubt COVID-19 will come to communities throughout the state. You can find vaccination locations here

The Australian Government has released an Easy Read document “How to get proof of your COVID-19 vaccinations” which is available here – you will need this in future.

In-home vaccination is now available for people who may have access challenges by calling 134 COVID (134 268), speaking to your GP, or by contacting your local Primary Health Network here. If you have any difficulty with this, please email qdn@qdn.org.au and we will try to assist.

Boosters

People aged 18 years and over can receive a COVID-19 vaccine booster from 8 November 2021 – this will be a Pfizer booster, and can be given six months after your second vaccine dose, regardless of the type of vaccine you had initially.

You can make bookings for boosters through the usual channels, including GP’s, chemists, and clinics – which you can find here

Goondiwindi restrictions

Stage 1 restrictions are being placed on disability accommodation services, aged care facilities and hospitals in Goondiwindi, and border restrictions will also be in place. You can find information on the Public Health Direction here and border restrictions here.
