Patrick Heaton

QDN member and 2022 Emerging Leader Pat Heaton lives in Hervey Bay and is passionate about connecting with isolated people with disability. A few years ago Pat realised there was little support available for people like himself with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) in his community, determined to make a change, he started a social support group for people with ABI.

Pat enjoys writing and has always wanted to blog. Since he was about 12 years old Pat has written and read poetry, stories, and kids’ book.

He is currently finding his purpose in life through being involved in disability communities and would like the opportunity to share his concerns.
