e-Blast: Virtual Forum Series for people with disability: COVID Conversations #1

COVID testing and mask wearing: what do people with disability and their supporters need to know?

Queenslanders with Disability Network (QDN), in partnership with Health Consumers Queensland (HCQ), is holding a series of 3 COVID Conversations for people with disability and their supporters.

These forums will provide information from a range of speakers about testing for COVID and wearing masks and your rights in navigating healthcare and disability and community support services during COVID.

We know that things are changing on a daily basis and it’s important for people with disability to get information to be able to plan, stay safe and connected.

We will hold three COVID conversations to talk about testing for COVID and wearing masks and understanding your healthcare and disability rights.  This is important because we want you to have the most up to date information to remain safe and have your rights protected. These forums will be held on 2 September, 3 September and 4 September 2020. (Stay tuned for more details)

The first conversation is “COVID testing and wearing masks – What do we need to know?”

We will have guest speakers from VALID in Victoria, including people with disability to share their experiences. To find out more about VALID, click here.

It will be held via zoom from 10:30am until 12:00pm on Wednesday 2 September.
