COVID-19 update

The restrictions in Logan for residential disability accommodation, aged care facilities and hospitals lifted yesterday afternoon (Wednesday 8 September). Everyone in South East Queensland is still required to wear a mask wherever you cannot socially distance, except when you are eating or drinking, or you are at home – this restriction is currently due to lift at 4pm Friday 10 September.

Vaccine supply will become much more available in the coming weeks, and QDN encourages people who have decided to have the vaccinations to book in for vaccinations if you haven’t already.

Many more GP clinics and local pharmacies throughout the state will have vaccines and appointments increasing over the next month to six weeks.

As we have seen in New South Wales and Victoria, the COVID-19 Delta variant is very contagious and spreads quickly. It is important that Queensland is prepared and is vaccinating as many people as possible.

You can register with Queensland Health here and wait for an email invitation to make a booking, or call the COVID hotline on 134 268.

Another option is to look on hotdocs here – To find a local clinic enter your postcode and there are drop down boxes to choose vaccine type (Astrazeneca or Pfizer) and whether you’re having dose one or two.

The Moderna vaccine will also become available in the near future.

More information and support with using hotdocs.com.au to book appointment is available here
