Stage 2 Covid-19 restrictions lifting this afternoon.

From 4pm this afternoon (Friday 8 October) there is a return to Stage 3 restrictions in Townsville, Palm Island, Gold Coast, Logan Brisbane and Moreton Bay local government areas.

This means you need to wear masks indoors unless seated, e.g at shopping centres etc. However, masks only need to be worn for entry and exit at hospitality venues like coffee shops and restaurants. Masks should be worn at all times on public transport, taxis and when ride sharing.

Visitor restrictions will also be lifted for vulnerable facilities including disability accommodation services, residential aged care and hospitals.
